How does our sense of well-being evolve over time? And why?

The BeingWellProject is a research project in which we re-imagine well-being as a complex dynamical system. We use a mathematical framework that respects the multifaceted nature of well-being and takes into account the hidden relations between personal accomplishment, positive emotions, meaning and engagement, and with special emphasis on the role of loving relationships.

The project is run by researchers at the Pennsylvania State University and the University of California, Irvine, and is funded by a research grant from The John Templeton Foundation.
